Story of Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda was born on January 12, 1863. His house name was Narendra Dutt. His father Shri Vishwanath Dutt believed in Western civilization. He also wanted to run his son Narendra in the manner of western civilization by teaching him English. Narendra’s intellect was very sharp from his childhood and his longing for God was also strong. For this he first went to the Brahman Samaj but there his mind was not satisfied.

Mr. Vishwanath Dutt died in 1884. The burden of the house fell on Narendra. The condition (Story of Swami Vivekananda) of the house was very bad. The good thing was that Narendra was not married. Narendra was a big guest even in extreme poverty. He would feed the guest when he was hungry, he would stay outside all night soaking in the rain and would put the guest to sleep on his bed.

After hearing the praise of Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Narendra had gone to him at first with the idea of arguing, but Paramahansaji recognized as soon as he saw that this is the same disciple he has been waiting for many days. By the grace of Paramahansaji, he had self-realization and consequently Narendra became prominent among the disciples of Paramahansaji. After retiring, his name became Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda had dedicated his life to his Gurudeva Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa. In the days of Gurudeva’s body-sacrifice, Guru was constantly present in the service, regardless of the delicate condition of his home and family, regardless of his own food. Gurudev’s body (Story of Swami Vivekananda) had become extremely ill. Due to cancer, saliva, blood, phlegm etc. used to come out from the throat. They used to clean all these very carefully.

Once someone showed hatred and negligence in the service of Gurudeva and frowned with hatred. Seeing this, Vivekananda got angry. While teaching the lesson to that Gurubhai and showing love for every object of Gurudeva, he picked up a spittoon full of blood, phlegm etc. near his bed and drank it whole. Only with the glory of such exclusive devotion and devotion to the Guru could he best serve his Guru’s body and his divine ideals. They could understand Gurudeva, merge their own existence in the form of Gurudeva. To spread the scent of India’s priceless spiritual treasure all over the world. At the foundation of this great personality of his was such Gurubhakti, Guruseva and exclusive devotion to the Guru.

At the age of 25, Narendra Dutt wore ocher clothes. After that he traveled all over India on foot. In 1893, the World Council of Religions was being held in Chicago (USA). Swami Vivekanandaji arrived there as the representative of India. The people of Europe-America at that time looked down on the dependent Indians. People there tried so hard that Swami Vivekananda did not have time to speak in the Sarvadharma Parishad. The effort of (Story of Swami Vivekananda) an American professor gave him some time but all the scholars were astonished to hear his views. Then he was very welcome in America. There became a large community of his devotees. For three years he lived in America and continued to impart the wonderful light of Indian philosophy to the people there.

‘Without spirituality and Indian philosophy, the world will become an orphan’ was the firm belief of Swami Vivekanandaji. In America, he established several branches of the Ramakrishna Mission. Many American scholars accepted his discipleship.

He passed away on July 4, 1902. He always called himself a servant of the poor. He always tried to brighten the pride of India in other countries. At present, the youth of India are inspired by the ideas of great men, Swami Vivekananda is the guide and Indian pride of the youth. Many examples of Swami Vivekananda are found in history to uphold the dignity of India with respect at the global level.
